Abstract

In this paper, the self-adjointness of a general Burgers equation that appears in a wide range of physical applications is investigated. The equation is shown to be quasi self-adjoint but not self-adjoint. Finally, the Ibragimov's theorem on conservation laws is used to construct some of the conservation laws of the equation.
