Abstract

This paper addresses the availability evaluation of a complex system comprising of two independent repairable subsystems in 1-out-of 2: F, under preemptive resume repair discipline. The failure rate follow exponential time distribution and repair time follow and general time distribution. The problem is formulated using the supplementary variable technique and various state probabilities have been obtained. A numerical example along with graphical representation has been appended to highlight the important conclusions.
