Abstract

In this paper, the complex dynamic behavior of a discrete time non-linear mathematical prey -- predator model with a disease in the prey population is analyzed. The existence, the boundedness and the stability of equilibrium points are studied algebraically. The main objective of this work is to provide a mathematical framework to study the response of a prey -- predator model to a disease in the prey population and to understand the role of supplying alternative food to predator as disease controller in the eco-epidemiological system.
