Abstract

An analysis is made for the two-dimensional laminar boundary layer flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid over a permeable shrinking sheet with partial slip. The governing boundary layer equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations using similarity transformation which are than solved numerically using shooting technique. The effects of various physical parameters, such as the magnetic parameter, slip parameter; Biot number and Prandtl number, on the flow and heat transfer characteristics are presented and discussed.
