Abstract

In this paper, we present a common fixed point theorem for a pair of self mappings, using F-contraction condition, in the setting of metric space.Further a fixed point theorem for a self map and application in dynamic programming are given. Our result extend the theorems of Wardoski, Cosentino and Vetro, Choudhury etc.
