Abstract

The synthetic drugs that are making the rounds of drug-using markets are some of the most destructive drugs available today, which have given rise to serious social issues in recent years. In this paper, a synthetic drugs transmission model with psychological addicts and Holling Type II functional responses is proposed. The basic reproduction number $R_0$ is obtained by the method of next generation matrix. Then we have discussed the local and global stabilities analysis of the model using the basic reproduction number $R_0$. By analyzing the sensitivity of parameters, we obtain that controlling psychological addiction is better than drugs treatment. Computer simulation are carried out to validate our analytical findings. The biological implications of analytical and numerical findings are discussed critically.
